One of my favorite images I’ve ever made is of a red Schwinn cruiser chained up outside the New Sheridan Hotel in Telluride, Colorado. It’s an ordinary bicycle, its simplicity stark against the catch-your-breath backdrop of the San Juan Mountains. Man, I miss Colorado.
Anyhow, I looked at that image ad nauseam until I finally found its calling: a watercolor. Which is exactly what I did with this one, a drive-by shot of the Washington monument.
