kate gardiner - you are the only photog i’ve ever met who can totally pull off the out of focus photo and have it look beautiful instead of, “oh crap! it’s out of focus!”

Kate, you made my day!!! it was exactly the fluke mistake you describe a couple of years ago that got me hooked on out-of-focus. I got really attached to an out-of-focus mistake when I paired it with a tack-sharp image of the same man, he was wearing a wild tropical print shirt that went all dreamy blur of bold colors. now I try to shoot one every session, even if the client never sees it.
