Merry Christmas!

I just went from calm and peaceful Thanksgiving weekend to WHOOSH Beginner band concert Drama Club’s “Santa for President” Christmas Nativity play basketball practice homework basketball games Christmas concert in D.C. Spanish test the Nutcracker visits to Toys R Us Christmas photos Christmas photos for clients Christmas cards Christmas cards for clients gingerbread men wrapping presents work holiday party cocktail party dinner with friends lunch…

Oh, and did I mention we bought a townhouse this morning and are MOVING?  :)  (We’re very excited!)

It’s been a blur of a season with closing and contractors and Christmas, and each time I look up to catch my breath as it all goes screaming by, I stop to think about how wonderfully full our lives are! We are so blessed.

Alexis did most of the work getting our Christmas cards out this year: she labeled, stuffed, sealed and stamped “one million thousand eighty” cards. As we came across Uncle Danny’s and Carlos’s grandmother’s card, we stopped for a moment — the memories of those we lost in 2008 remain cherished and will stay in our hearts forever.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas…

Jennifer - Wow!
Congrats on the townhouse purchase.
I hope things slow down enough for you to have a breather around the holidays before the move.
Your children are amazing. They look happy, strong, confident…
Happy Christmas, friend.

--christine - thank you! I’m trying to stay organized and hold it all together so that we have time for work AND play. For example, I worked all day yesterday at the house and then we drove downtown to meet up with MeDannyP for Thai food! (he’s in town for a checkup and got good news! but that’s his to shout-out) I’m photographing the house as we work. I love before and afters.

it’s such a wonderful treat to stumble here with my coffee in the dark morning hours to find my friends on my blog! it’s the stuff of holiday magic — faith, hope and love. family. friends. good contractors.

Julie Strong - Congrats on your new home! When is the big move?

Beautiful pictures of your beautiful children. When they’re older, they will be so lucky to have all those wonderful pictures from their childhood.

Cheers! Julie
